This is actually sang by Jesse L Martin who played X in the episode. 'The Unnatural' was such an awesome episode, beginning to end (especially the end). Duchovny wrote and directed it.

I watched this episode in September of 2023, it came on at midnight that night. My grandmother, who was 84 years old was sick, with many many health problems. My mom had her transferred to hospice the evening before. As I was watching the episode, this feeling of anxiety and overwhelm came over me. It was almost a feeling of like I could hear my grandma telling me, "I'm ready to go". Throughout the whole episode I could just feel it tugging at my heart. The feeling was heavy. My grandma had only been in hospice less than 24 hours. She passed away the next day, on September 20, and my birthday is August 20. They told my mom my grandma had not been well over the night. I do believe it was her time to go to that land. I miss her dearly 😢 but I know she is at peace and no longer suffering. But this song is really special to me now, along with the episode. I could definitely feel something that was hard to explain. Now, everytime I watch the episode, I think of my grandma ❤

When I was 15 years old, the most famous tv series The X Files started. Still I'm watching The X Files. Now I'm 40+ but I'm young at heart. I have no words to explain how much I love " The X Files". The most successful tv series of the last century.

I dont even like baseball but im binge-watching the x-files from 1st to last episode..this one of best episodes so far. The alien got changed into a human by the love for baseball, thats what Artur Dales meant.. lovely ending truly.. and the song got me in tears. Sculy and Fox finally getting there. One of the best chemistries in a series and a perfectly paced build up. I will cry when i finish all the seasons..i sure.

May 16th, 2024. I watched this episode for the first time about 5 minutes ago, and I'm pretty sure this is the best one since the beginning of The X-Files until now so far. Everything about this episode was special, from the very emotional story of the "case" to the final scene, between Mulder and Scully.

This episode of the X- Files ( The Unnatural) has to be one of the finest that Chris Carter and David Duchovny have written. I agree that it is really good. I am impressed with this rendition of " Go With Me To That Land" which is a very well known Negro Spiritual. The melody and Harmony which Mark Snow came up withh for this episode IS BEAUTIFUL. I find myself singing it constantly. Kudos.
