SuperYacht NORD cruising the Kiel Canal

The Lürssen built super yacht NORD - formerly known as project OPUS - is seen here shortly after sunset making her way through Germany's Kiel Canal. NORD measures 142 metres in lenght. Both the yacht's exterior and interior design are the work of Nuvolari & Lenard. The yacht is widely believed to belong to EU sanctioned Alexey Mordashov, an industrial billionaire from Russia. Following Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine the yacht sailed to the Russian Pacific port of Vladivostok to escape seizure by Western authorities. It was last seen in Hong Kong harbour in October 2022.

The Kiel Canal is a 98-kilometre-long canal located in Northern Germany and links the North Sea with the Baltic Sea. Passing through Kiel Canal saves significant time over the northern route around Denmark. Opened in 1895, it is one of the most frequented artificial waterways in the world.

Das ist ein tolles Video von der NORD im Nord-Ostsee-Kanal geworden. Es war zwar ein bisschen schade, dass die NORD nach ihrer Einschleusung in Brunsbüttel mit ihrer Weiterfahrt gewartet hat, bis die Sonne untergegangen war. Aber so kann man als kleinen Ausgleich schon ein bisschen die Beleuchtungskonzepte der Superyacht erkennen. Daumen weit hoch für dieses super Video. Gruß Unimedien.
