26 MPG may not be great but it’s worlds better than my 4Runner getting 18 mpg on the highway.

Thank you for including a cabin noise test, that's extremely important for long trips.

That did better than the smaller RDX with a 2.0 turbo

I just got my new Acura MDX 2022 Advance which is only 600 miles usage, sticker say it should do 19 city and 26 highway MPG… but base on my driving, I only get 14 - 16 MPG mix… I never see pass 17 MPG and while googling I’m not the only one… I read other people have the say experience… I’m not sure where to go from here… I’m very disappointed with Acura MDX 2022 at this point… still doing test driving and getting more data but I don’t think I will ever hit 19 MPG on highway driving but will see….

Oh BYW, the car does look the best in that Liquid Carbon Exterior color. However, I disliked the Espresso interior (even though I had it in my 2019 MDX which was in Canyon Bronze Exterior (it looks like a Cinnamon Brown ). In the 2022, the Espresso has Too Many colors used in the interior : Grays, Black, Espresso mixed with the Gray seat backs, etc.... When I took the Fathom Blue Pearl which is sitting in my driveway, I hesitated because the dealer had a LCP exterior on the floor with a Black leather interior (not a fan of the black interior bc it gets too hot). When I inquired about "switching"he deal to the LCP model on the floor, they could not give it to me for the same $$$$. It is in short supply and is commanding Premiums. Again colors are subjective.... But IMHO, it seems to really bring out the Lines in the body.

It would be interesting to see if there is a difference between using 87 or +91 octane on the same test loop. My previous 11 MDX with 3.7L V-6 and 4500 curb weight and 08 RDX 4000lbs sh-awd was lucky to see 20-21 mpgs at hwy speeds using required 91 octane. The larger and heavier +22 MDX 25 mpg hwy mpgs did go down by up to 2 mpgs from the 14-20 MDX depending if you are comparing the fwd, sh-awd, Aspec, or hybrid. Some folks are seeing 27-30 mpg with 17-20 MDX hybrid on the hwy and city driving.

Correction. That’s what the trip computer displayed

This car is very heavy, all steel and they do not use aluminum to reduce weight which result in this bad MPG(especially in the City), can you make a city MPG video as well? It's not very cheap, they should have found some ways to reduce weight and improve the MPG. Also it's not very quiet, barely on par with competition. Acura always had the high cabin noise level issue

We drove from Los Angeles Ca to Fresno Ca 245 miles at 80 mph we average 12 mpg don’t know why? 2022 Mdx awd. Had 13 miles on speedometer brand new had just bought it that day. I wonder if I have to be pumping 91 octane? Comfort drive mode all the way

Appreciate the Video!! Questions for you, purchased a 2022 MDX ASPEC, should my mpg city off the bat hit the expected 19 or does it take time? Drove about 1000 miles thus far and only getting 16-17 in Normal drive mode. any suggestions?

My 2022 MDX gets 20.5 in average. Not even my mercedes AMG with a bigger engine was this bad with fuel 😬

this is a major downgrade as i’ve gotten 31 mpg in my 2016 mdx. that’s not even with hypermiling or anything, just normal cruising
