I know that by the time we get these videos you're all moved in and I'm so happy for you. I'm a bit (ok more than a bit 😉 ) older than you and I look back with a bit of nostalgia at all the moves I took over the years, with and without husbands and kids, from apartments to homes to apartments and now a home again (which we'll have to move from in a couple more years because stairs and bad knees). I remember last nights in places and first mornings in others. There are a number of them that I wish I could go back to and just stop time to appreciate just how special those moves and 'new' homes were. At the time, like you, I just wanted to get them over and done with so I could be on about the business of moving forward with whatever was going on in my life. I wish I had taken the time to appreciate each home more, each move more and, more than anything, appreciate the TIME in each place. It goes by fast. You wake up one morning and suddenly realize the next move will probably be your last and that the move will be because of physical limitations that you didn't have before that now get in the way of moving or going to all those wonderful places you still want to see. Kay, try to stress less, lean into each moment a bit more, make the time to make more memories in each place while you're still there. The one thing I envy you about is that you're able to video your moves and record each place. I have dusty, fading photographs and few pictures of the actual places and spaces I loved in them. What a gift you have! Congratulations on your wonderful new home. I wish you many, many, happy, healthy, prosperous, love-filled years there, filled with wonderful moments that will make an abundance of beautiful memories. 💗💗💗

Very impressed with your ability to move an entire household in such a short time. Truly shows your organized mind and skills! You inspire me to declutter my own home until I have just what I want and could pull off a quick pack-up myself. Eagerly awaiting all the move-in, organizing, and creating videos to come in your new, forever home.

A house owned and lived in by the same family for over 7 decades has had more than 5 official re-designations of its address. Fortunately, a fairly rural area so if you needed an ambulance or a fire truck you could say "the old Rake place" and even though Google has no idea where the most recently assigned address is, the first responders probably do. When you get your utilities sorted out, make sure you send written notice to the people who run the 911 emergency services of this address anomaly/black hole. Could save a life.

Clover is so adorable I can't stand it! He's probably never got so many car rides in his cute lil life!

In Chicago addresses are messed up like this all the time, too. You'll have to use the address the seller provided. You may want to call the utility companies and give them whatever the seller's name is on your purchase agreement. They may be able to look it up that way. I bought a unit that was 1S, but the gas company had it as 1F. There is no 1F in that building, so I had to confirm using the name of the account holder, which was the seller's name.

Do your back a favor. Get one of those small utility carts with a wooden top, put the supplies (tape, labels, markers, etc, ) on the lower shelves and use the top to transfer things to for sorting and packing. You'll like it when you move in... wheeling boxes to their destination room is soooo much easier. The wheel is one of humankind's best inventions.

This was so interested watching you move again. I’ll bet you are so over it and ready to be settled. I am excited for you.

Thank gosh, i need this! I sold my house today and the thought of sorting and packing it all up for an interstate move is daunting.

I’m not moving in the immediate future but watching how much work this was for someone with an organized home inspires me to get my sh*t together because I know we’ll be moving from here eventually. Best wishes and thanks for sharing.

I was so happy to see this video loaded. Kinda like having a friend pop in at just the right time. I did worry that my friend wasn't going to make it, but it looks like your going to pull it off. Congrats!

I give anyone who moves credit for all of the hard work. I’ve been lucky enough to find my house back in 2005 and haven’t had to move since.

Love that, A) you’re able to pack up your place so efficiently, B) you do self care in the midst of the chaos. ❤️❤️

Moving is a lot of work! Bless your soul. I am so waiting to see the organization in the new house. I bet you won't have to install much of the Elfa you already own. I am sure you'll have to customize the Elfa that is already there. This is exciting!!!
