The third single off upcoming album ‘Leave the Bones’, ‘Bade Zile’ makes full use of the Lakou Mizik’s rhythmic prowess and Joseph Ray’s cinematic production. A traditional Vodou spiritual song, ‘Bade Zile’ references a mystical place of spirits under the island of Hispaniola which is home to both Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

A collaboration between the multi-generational Haitian band Lakou Mizik and Grammy-winning electronic music artist Joseph Ray, ‘Leave the Bones’ was announced via NPR World Cafe with first single ’Ogou (Pran Ka Mwen). The album lands August 6, and has already garnered support from BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 3, NPR, KCRW, KEXP, CRACK, Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM, and Songlines.
