Chance sighting of one of the two airworthy B-29s in the world? Kickass. Looks like she was scooting, too.

This is just the coolest thing. I’m a student pilot with about 25 hours under my belt (lol). My dream is to own a plane like this. I’m sure it will never happen but it’s awesome to just watch your videos. Great job

Those Moonies are definitely nothing to play with! 179 kn over the ground with a little bit of a headwind! That’s impressive! Definitely a get there machine for sure. Fly well!

It would be great to see somebody buy Mooney and get it going again. It would be neat to see these planes with Continental TD engine.

I learned to fly at KBJC back in 1972, when it was still called Jeffco. The tower was where the terminal is now. Fun days in Cessna 150s!

Great vid. Curious though why you don’t fly standard altitudes? Also, was that ForeFlight with the “check gear” warning?

Just flew my Ovation 3 from Las Vegas to Amarillo and back a couple of weeks ago. Then a week later from Vegas to Houston and back. Incredible birds. Try 20 LOP next time. I was 174TAS at about 11.4 gph at 11k. BTW museum at AMA is very small. Coolest thing they had other than the DC3 was the Shuttle simulator Gulfstream.

Amarillo by morning. Born there in '49...lived high on the caprock about 30 miles NE. Thoughts? Route 66, 1955, alive & kicking running through town amidst a sea of NEON signs & hundreds of tourist courts & motels. Cool summer mornings awakening to open second story windows & a view of tall, wavy seas of wheat covering hundreds of acres. Jack rabbits 3 feet tall. Brand new Bell Helicopters for Viet Nam being flight tested from Amarillo's airport, & B-52s shooting touch & goes. Weather? ...well, it's hard to describe the approach of a thunderstorm nearing a 100, 000 ft tall racing down from the north over caprock and down upon you. I've seen it go from clear & warm to raining mud, & then freezing winds & snow....all in one morning. There's a poker game there where literal fortunes are won or lost in a single pot. Think, " I'll raise ya my ranch near Austin and two helicopters!" type of bets

10:00 I believe you are passing Palo Duro Canyon.

Please don’t make shallow descent like that. Make your decents at -500 to
- 700 fpm. This will make your flight path more predictable to others. This is what everyone else (other traffic and ATC) expects from you. Spend more time at a given altitude and less time transitioning from an altitude to another. Thank you. Cool video btw.

I lost a spinner on my Bellanca at Amarillo once enroute from Abilene to Denver and declared my first and only emergency. I learned that when ATC asks for number of souls on board, that equates to how many ambulances to order because when I landed, there were two waiting.
