I am a former customer and distributor of the utility warehouse discount club. I have put this webpage up to help those who are thinking of joining the club and those who are already in and are not sure whether or not they should stay.

The uwclub markets in two ways.
First it says it will save you money on your utilities and secondly it says that if you promote their services you can make money.

And yes those statements are true but they are certainly not true for everyone.

Of course what you want to know is would those statements be true regarding you.

And by following the advice here you will be able to find out from an impartial independent source, if the utility warehouse is best for you.
Uwclub known as the utility warehouse discount club is the marketing arm of Telecom Plus plc who provides utility services such as phone, broadband, mobile, gas and electricity.

The main telecom plus selling script is as follows.
You may not have heard of the Utility Warehouse before. We don't spend our customers' money on expensive advertising campaigns. Instead, we rely on the best form of promotion there is - personal recommendation from satisfied customers.
Sounds great doesn’t it but what is actually behind those statements.

We don't spend our customers' money on expensive advertising campaigns. Well no they don’t but they do pay distributors commissions, a percentage of people’s bills, bonuses and other incentives to recruit customers and other distributors who will recruit other customers and distributors … on and on. Other utility companies don’t have this expense but may spend money on advertising.

We rely on the best form of promotion there is - personal recommendation from satisfied customers. Here is a thought just about all distributors are customers and how distributors make money is by recruiting customers or club members. Also customers can get rewards for introducing new customers. So yes there are recommendations but influenced by reward.

Most people join the uwclub because a friend or acquaintance told them about it but of course they didn’t necessarily tell them they were getting paid a finder’s fee and a percentage of their ongoing bills. Lots of people have a financial interest in signing people up to the utility warehouse discount club.

If you only listen to people involved in the club you will never know the full truth as to whether you will save money or make money as a member of the utility warehouse. Or if you would be better off somewhere else!
