Smh, glad I watched this video. I was ready to look into replacements after the water went luke warm this week, colder temps outside. Adjusted the tank temp and it didn’t help. Only to find out I adjusted it to hot as opposed to very hot, lol. False alarm😅

Hi, I purchased a valve + Trim from Delta, everything is okay (good quality by the way). I put back the valve caps instead of the diverter + cartridge, as I wanted to keep them clean during tilling. The hot water was not working in the house and I had that tepid thing instead. They should specify to install everything at once. Thank you so much for the video, I was about to put the water heater apart...👍

Question: I suddenly had no hot water. A hot water tank employee came to investigate the tank and concluded it's working perfectly, so I should call a plumber instead to find out why no hot water. Then in 24 hours, BEFORE the plumbers arrived to investigate, the hot water came back mysteriously. What do you think was the cause of the mysterious on and off hot water? thanks

Great information! My jacuzzi style tub quickly exhausts hot water. No other fixture in my home has this issue. Can you make a video or explain how the hot water limiter or how to adjust/address this issue? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the vid. In following what you described, couldn’t I just go to a fixture that had separate hot and cold controls (for example, the sink in your video) and just turn the hot on and see if it comes out hot. And if you already knew the shower only gets warm then you would know immediately that it was the cartridge in the shower. So you wouldn’t even have to check the water heater at all. Could you do it this way?

Does "Very hot" mean scalding? Because mine is set a little beneath that but is lukewarm. I'm a little nervous about setting it to "very hot" setting.

Hello Brothers! I replaced an 80 gallon electric water heater yesterday. It has been in operation like 6 hours and lukewarm water. The water heater sits outside in an addition shed built for it. 240v powers the elements, both elements have 12 Homs of resistance, current draw on top element 19.7 amps. Thermostats are set to 120 Degrees. Everything checks out but no hot water. Any ideas? the old one was not leaking but stopped heating water and both elements and thermostats with dip tube were replaced to no avail. Finally decided to buy a new water heater and the problem is still there. please help!

So I'm just curious, I have an electric 50-gallon AO Smith heater, I replaced both thermostats and both elements but even after that, the heater doesn't seem to be turning on, I also made sure that the breakers weren't tripping.

I am really upset. I just purchased a brand new AO Smith 300 from Lowe’s. There is absolutely no damage to the water heater it was installed to code. The pilot will not light.
It has one of those electronic igniter’s that are similar to a outdoor grill. What happened to having access utilizing a long lighter?
It’s frustrating when you purchase a brand new hot water heater that won’t function.
What are the odds I picked up a defective unit?
