His demeanor, his age and elemental opposites with Yama-jii and Shunsui's foreshadowing in his conversation with Starrk makes me believe that Bleach is supposed to run longer and Hitsugaya will become a head captain.

If Hell arc is happening, then I hope we see Toshiro's full adult bankai power as Hell is associated with fire, Toshiro with his power can really shine especially since he said that he can freeze all 4 elements. Ofc Rukia as well with her abilities, but since this is a Toshiro video I focused on him.

I was not surprised to see Hitsugaya use a more mature Bankai as I felt it was hinted all the way back when he fought Shawlong at the start of the Arrancar who speculated that his Bankai was incomplete due to how young he is. It was then confirmed by Hitusgya himself when he fought Harribel. Kubo made a lot of choices as an author that I think really hurt the overall quality of Bleach, but this was one of the things he did quite well in my opinion. It not only laid the ground work for Hitsugaya revealing the completed Bankai at the end of the TYBW, but it also created a narrative justification for his struggles in earlier fights namely he was fighting with incomplete powers and he was holding back out of fear he might lose control and kill his allies and innocent bystanders. At the same time however the reveal itself, while awesome and well done, was undermined to a large extent by the fact that Gerard could not die until Ywach decided it was time for him to die. This was kind of an recurring problem for how Kubo handled Hitsugaya which I think contributed a large part to his decline in popularity.

One point of your analysis I respectfully disagree with is when you indicated that you felt he had "the potential to be one of the most powerful captains" but only because I think he has already achieved that. At the end of the TYBW arc I think he is one of the four strongest Captains with the other three being Kyoraku, Byakuya, and Kenpachi. If you expanded the analysis to include the Captains at the start of the Soul Society arc I think the only additions to that list would be Unohana, Aizen, and Yamamoto. Keep in mind if not for Gerard's ability to regenerate from anything, Hitsugaya would have been able to kill him on his own (and fairly easily once he brought out the complete Bankai) and at that point Gerard had been throwing around multiple Captain class characters like they were nothing.

If we end up getting the Hell Arc, it would not be shocking to me if at the end of it, Hitsugaya ended up being the strongest Captain of the Gotei 13 once it is over, even if Kyorkau, Byakuya, and Kenpachi survive without being weakened in any way. Given enough time I think he at the least has the potential to surpass Aizen and Yamamoto. If we do get the Hell arc, I think what HItsugaya needs is as a character is at least one but preferably more scenes where he does something that unequivocally awesome without having it undermined like what happened to him so many times in the previous arcs.

Toshiro Bankai in my opinion parallels Yamamoto Bankai which burns anything off existence while Toshiro bankai freezes anything off existence. Even kyoraku said toshiro will surpass him in hundreds year is a foreshadowing that he will be next head captain.

Another cool foreshadowing was when he fought Shawlong Koufang, shawlong assumes his bankai is on a time limit but hitsugaya ignores the comment.

While Shigekuni Yamamoto's abilities reflect eight hot hells in Burmese Buddhist mythology, Toshiro Hitsugaya's abilities reflect eight cold hells in Japanese Buddhist mythology.
Hitsugaya's Shikai Hyourinmaru straight up reflects Utpala Hell (The hell of blue lotus) where flesh cracks open and moisture in skin freezes and takes shape of a blue lotus.
His Bankai, Daiguren Hyourinmaru (hell of great crimson lotus) where flesh cracks open and blood in body freezes and takes shape of a crimson lotus. People who have committed sin of killing one's own kin, murdered innocent nuns, monks, saints in cold blood are banished to this hell. One suffers through this hell for approximately 339, 738, 624×10^10 years.

I really wished his adult form was a permanent after effect of his True Bankai but since he hasn't mastered it yet i hope he won't have to grow into and adult every time he use it
(I also just watched your recent video about Kubo answering the Bleach community questions) and the fact that Toshiro had already achived Bankai when Isshin was the still Squad 10 captain is an impressive feat and imo he probably has the highest potential out of all the pure Shinigamis
Hopefully we see more of his growth in the Hell arc if it gets a sequel
