Dave Meets The BOSS SY-1

I asked Dave to come over to check out the SY-1 as it has a BASS mode on it. Lots of cool tones we will probably be able to use in Future songs and recordings. I think Dave was impressed!

If there's one subtle thing I love about Toska, it's the fact that you guys do some sections where you utilise the guitar and bass as synths running through those sick as hell fuzzes etc.

I have actually utilized this pedal with my 5 string sterling and 4 string Ibanez soundgear bass in creation of ambient music. Once you start thinking of it as a composing tool, this pedal really comes alive to create some truly unique sounds. Layering multiple bass tracks both through the sy-1 and through a variety of other effects tools (as well as traditional tones) has allowed me to take the bass outside the framework of traditional song structure and established bass utilization. Thanks for sharing the detailed demo.
