The mold issues here must be unreal. I wonder how it impacts the locals' health to constantly be around that?

In countries that have protections on free speech it is a disgrace to show a video and block comments.
I suggest that censors can be used to rate comments using the MPAA standard so children have a layer of protection for harsh comments. Then comments with a G rating are shown automatically but adult type comments get a popup window and a rating depending on content. AI is particularly keen for making this work well.

Huh finally a video where comments are enabled!!!

At the least their mold problem is down. Mold disagrees with saltwater. The water level itself is a force to be reckoned with, especially since on average Venice is just about 2 feet above sea level (and equalizing rapidly).

They might want to keep a pet mackarel in every home though, seems like a foresight.

On the Pacific Ocean,
I live off the Fraser River in Canada, it has no gate for water controlling, community where I live has tidal effects up into my town. Never a tide height worry, , Snow on winter melt is a different effect from the mountains and it gives us problems every few years or so... that's to do with snow loads in the huge mountains valley systems drainage to the Fraser river. Cheers, real Channel Youtuber here.

Maybe you should ask China. I hear they make islands.

“Climate Crisis” are the magic words.
I’m sure Jamal Trudeau will send some of our carbon taxes to help.

The repulsive stench from the polluted water in the canals is unbearable on a good day... why would anyone want to swim the flooded water, full of rotting trash and toxic human waste?

Swimming in St. Marks Square may seem like a fun thing to do until you realize that it is raw untreated sewage as Venice does not have a sewage system and uses the tidies to flush the canals. I hope that guys hepatitis shots are up to date.

This really has nothing to do with climate change, as much as it has to do with being ill prepared. If you've ever been to Venice, you can clearly see that preparations should have been placed in the forefront, ESPECIALLY in the face of threatening climate change and sea level changes. This is going to happen more and more now, and Venice had 50 years to prepare itself for changes in sea level. They didn't, and TBH it might be too late. I mean, last time I visited there was a lot of rainfall and many of the shops had water guards up and a couple cm's of water... If it's a "high price" / "too expensive" to engineer proper mechanisms to prevent this sort of flooding; I guess the Venetian's are going to just have to suck it up.
