AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND March 29, 2018. Royal New Zealand Navy Fleet and Naval Support sailors assembled adjacent to the Devonport Naval base today to formally parade their colours which were presented to the Navy in 1953 by the newly crowned Queen Elizabeth. The Governor - General and Commander in Chief Dame Patsy Reddy was the reviewing officer.

Always remember that the light cruiser MNZS Ajax was part of the cruiser squadron that took part in The Battle of the River Plate in WW!2 defeating a much stronger pocket battleship. This was the first naval victory of the war

Why are they conducting rifle drills with them doing shoulder arms unto the stock instead of the grip? Is the MARS-L rifle provided by LMT that small or is it because of doctrine from their previous F88s being carried over to their new service rifle?

Shouldn't it be about time the Navy composes its own march? 'Heart of Oak' is nice and all but it is the march of the British Royal Navy.
