Two-Day In-House Workshop on "Digital Media Text Analysis" Begins at Mizoram University.
A two-day in-house workshop on "Digital Media Text Analysis" was inaugurated today at the Deans' Seminar Hall, SEMIS, Mizoram University (MZU) on 26th September 2024.
The workshop is jointly organized by the Department of Library & Information Science and the Department of Mass Communication, MZU, in collaboration with the DST-Technology Enabling Centre, Mizoram University.
The program was run for two days, and concluded on September 27, 2024. The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Manoj Kumar Verma, Professor and Head of the Department of Library and Information Science at MZU.
The Dean of SEMIS, Prof. Bhartenda Singh, also shared his thoughts with the attendees, delivering an insightful speech that highlighted the importance of digital media text analysis in today’s digital age. The keynote speaker for the workshop, Dr. Vinit Kumar from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, guided participants through various aspects of digital media text analysis over the two days. His sessions were designed to equip attendees with the tools and techniques necessary for analyzing digital media texts in an evolving media landscape.
The inaugural address was delivered by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Mizoram University, marking the official commencement of the workshop. He emphasized the importance and relevance of digital text analysis.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Irene Lalruatkimi, Professor and Head of the Department of Mass Communication,MZU. This workshop promised to be a valuable learning experience for all attendees, featuring engaging sessions and practical insights into digital media text analysis techniques.
