I had the same doctor for many years and everything was a panic attack, even a stroke. I got the doctor to order a brain scan, before the appt. I got the scan and it showed the stroke, but during the appt. she said everything was normal so I called it out and she said "that was NORMAL for my age" I got out with my life and was immediately diagnosed with the Stroke and several auti immune syndromes. I believe they wanted me to die. Now I'm afraid of all medical people!!

they do not check the notes. they get us to sign all this stuff so they can communicate with each other and THEY DO NOT. i work in healthcare too (pharmacy) and the amount of BS excuses i get from prescribers is ridiculous. the nice people have mostly moved on, and the people who are left are mainly concerned with money. overwork is an issue and not trying to belittle the profession but... most of them don't even know what their patients take. so many doctors call us asking what they need to give their patient and THEY'RE A SPECIALIST

Diagnostic error is the greatest issue in healthcare worldwide currently in my opinion. It is a major contributor to confluence of reasons why doctors gaslight their patients so often, along with burnout etc. I believe that if we were able to create better environment for the doctors to avoid such mistakes, the issue would be much less prevalent. I am going to give Tami Burdick a follow.

& during that 15min. Appt. Provider is spending most of that time pecking their keyboard, entering notes into their elec. record system.

The doctors dont read the notes, my physical therapist sent the doctor my progress notes, I asked him if he had read them, he told me they were somewhere in the system, I handed him my copy, which he briefly looked at in the 5 minutes I was with him, it seems to me, money for old rope, we should be getting better care, 2 years after my initial surgery and Im still no better

Is the main problem the doctors or the insurance companies who challenge what the doc orders because they don't want to pay the damn bill?

I feel this is a major problem systemically. Excuses given at every appt. Blatantly ignoring the things and symptoms related by patients. Placating just to get you out of the office . to the next paying patients. Bottom line is GREED. I was not told my kidneys were at a very low function. They were going to let me go to dialysis before anything was done. I took matters in my own hands. I watched my Mother be starved to death with crumbly teeth at her death at a nursing home. Low amount, quantity and lack of nutrients in the foods she was given. I personally watched two medical mistakes in a hospital where patients were given the wrong medication within the same hospital also within a 4 month period. in doing these mistakes of which one resulted with two heart attacks. So this is happening all over the so called American medical system.
