It is so hopeful to see such a sensitive warm couple able to discover their happiness as gay men early in life. As a 62 year old gay man, I remained closeted until age 23 growing up with so much fear of being discovered as different from all my friends and family. It was mentally damaging & sadly affected my career goals. Live happiness every day as it is precious.

Idk if anyone else remembers, but in his first Q&A, one of my favorite questions that someone asked was how Benji came out to his parents, and he just said "I haven't" and then laughed. I'm so proud of how far you've come Benji and it's been such a pleasure getting to watch you and Chris literally thrive together 🌱

You two remind me of my husband and I, who are also hortisexuals. We immigrated to San Francisco 1982, from the old south, when our parents found out my husband and I were more than just "college roommates". While in San Francisco, were active in the cactus and succulent societies all over California and when we bought a house, maintained a greenhouse with a large collection of plants and yes, Benji, I also maintained a choice collection of Anthuriums. We lived in San Francisco for 33 years and are now retired back in the south, now that the coast was clear and our families got used to the idea we were a happy couple. We are now 45 years together and still maintain a large collection of plants.

I'm an old guy 62 to be exact and coming out gay was not an option for me when I was young. I love how everything has progressed to the point that being gay and loving a same sex partner is normal. I wish it was like that for me when I was your age. It is so refreshing to see that you guys have so much support from everyone gay or straight which is how it should be. Hey guys, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a good example of a same-sex relationship. For some time now I've been in love with a girl (I'm a girl too and it's my first time ever being in love with someone) and thanks to you I'm not afraid of having a relationship with her.
Unfortunately, there aren't many positive/non-toxic examples of same-sex relationships in the media so thank you for sharing your love and influencing me so positively <3
