When I was little I was not allowed to just channel surf by myself. Reason being there’s a ton of shit a kid shouldn’t see. Parents need to take control.

In video sponsors are so much worse because youtube premium can't take them away.. I am not certain if sponsors are necessarily needed for content creators to thrive or if they are just there for the greed of the creator. For example:
Mr Beast, great content worth the ad, now worth the merch plug.
Linus tech tips: annoying shitload of ads to employ an unnecessary amount of employees.
For the record I enjoy watching both channels but the rate of which ads are used is so much different, also theres no transparency on linus his part which I believe plays an important role in advertising.
Not sure why I went on this rant here but its whatevs.

When I was a kid my mom and dad had no problem leaving me and my sis in front of the TV. That's when quality cartoons/programmes were available. The golden era of cartoon Network, boomerang etc. Sesame Street etc. Now it's all junk that even the kids don't wanna sit in front of that 💩 so the parents are forced to put on the YouTube. Plus parents now use media to bring up their kids and focus primarily on raking in the $. IMHO.

this is such a hard issue to sort out. I mean does pewdiepie playing Minecraft (which is a game aimed at kids) get affected or not coz his audience is like 18-34 (i feel) but for sure there are kids watching pewds play Minecraft. are his videos going to get demonised? but this main audience is teens and young adults. I don't know how nuanced the new system will be.
