OMG, I finally understand the way to say man, it's really hard to say it like "m-aa-uh-n". I always say it like " m-e-n"( using pure /e/) so that's why it doesnt sound correctly. Thank you Rachel, I love your videos

Your videos are literally changing my life! Thank you so much for your wonderful courses. You are helping out thousands of people out there who struggle to speak English clearly, fluently and with confidence

Really interesting. Now I know that *"æ"* could be different in other cases. Thank you so much, Ms. Rachel.

Thank you so much, Rachel! This is the best explanation ever on pronunciation of 'man', 'hand' and 'sang.' I always wondered why the actual sounds spoken are different from the IPA script.

I've been trying to find such an explanation FOREVER! I am pretty good with accents but just couldn't figure out how the differences of ae work phonetically - and you really don't find it anywhere in the IPA! Thanks so much Rachel!

for AA [æ] sound is this
vowel changes when it’s followed by a nasal consonant only or all vowels also. Thank you Mrs. Rachel.

I love your way to explain the sounds! It does make it much much easier for non-native (like me). Thank you Rachel ❤️

This is by far the best video about the A sound I've ever seen. I'm so happy to confirm that my ears were never wrong. I guessed all of that except for the "ay" sound before "NG". I don't have enough words to appreciate this video. awesome!!!! I loved it!

I’m from the Great Lakes area born and raised. I watched your video because of the way we pronounce the a sound in words like cat. One day maybe with your help I’ll learn how to say it properly 😂😂

4:52 That slow "hand" was also super useful.
Obviously, the whole channel and videos are, but I just point out some highlights.

Could you do a video showing us about how this vowel is different from the /e/ vowel? It's very hard for me to distinguish it. I often pronounce the /ae/ vowel as /e/
