The lake of fire = second death. Meaning in my defenitions, destroy, won't exist any more, forgotten for ever and ever... lmk if yall see it too or not

Also our spirits live forever. So it is eternal torment. Never ending. Even the story of Lazarus and the rich man should show you he was in hell burning and asked Abraham to ask Lazarus for a drop of water. But that was impossible for Lazarus to do. And the rich guy asked him to warn his brothers not to come there because he knew he was wicked. But again. Abraham confirmed they have their own free will like he did.

The bible is filled with metaphors, and the phrase "the smoke will rise forever" is also a metaphor. Read Isaiah 34 about the destruction of Edom. The smoke is the sign of the destruction of Edom so that all can see it, and it will be never be forgotten.

A fire that can not be quenched will burn until there is nothing left to burn, so once the wicked are fully consumed is when the fire ends and is ashes under the righteous feet. The fire is eternal because God is eternal, and the smoke rises forever and ever because the vastness of space is endless

When the second death occurs it is the death if the soul. It will exist no more. The soul is destroyed meaning is no more. That's what hell is. To be blotted out of the book of life.

The fire from God is eternal because God is eternal and that fire is a shield of protection to the righteous as it was with the three hebrew boys in the firery furnace when Christ was with them, but it is destruction to the wicked. The righteous burn forever not the wicked:
