Can y'all come to my house 😢😢. I was qouted 3k to 5k and my insurance denied the claim. I would do it myself, but I'm alittle freaked out about mold.

We had a mold guy come and recommend diy remediation with a spray solution called bioesque . Worked great and non toxic and smells great

Great video, but quick comment to calm the panic I felt from this video and most people have in area of this topic:

Do you do the same thing when you find that your bread has mold on it? No. Mold is mold. "BLACK MOLD ... is so rare that it is almost impossible to grow in a home under normal conditions, IE roof/chimney leak. You need massive constant, and consistent moisture. How it effects you is 100% how you should treat it. Some people, like me are pretty severely affected by mold. But as a mold contractor I learned a lot of the " mold is gold" BS that most contractors use to sell this type of cleanup.

Yes protect the non-effected areas to prevent Contamination. Neg- air is a good idea, but you can do the same thing with a box fan and duct tape, save yourself $1100. A filter venting to outside air is only sending cleaned HEPA air into already laden mold air in your yard. If you don't or can't neg-air into outside, then you need the Hepa filters to create neg air into non-contaminated rooms.

Mold spores are every where, When you open your doors to leave in the morning you let in mold spores. Don't believe me, check your local news for "mold" counts daily. No need to plastic your attic, mold is already hanging out there too! Mold Spores need water and food to start growing, shut off water, and you have dirt, that can affect you if you are allergic. Food is anything bio-degradable, hence the BIO in bio-degradable.

For clean up, cut out the food: EX, old drywall and visible growth, then Clean the non-removable area (studs) with bleach or sporicidal, allow to dry. encapsulate (Paint) to trap existing mold spore left overs and move on to rebuild. SIDE NOTE: once cleaned, you don't need to paint because technically, the new drywall would be the encapsulation you need. dead mold spores don't burrow

I hate the " mold is gold" mindset that came from 2000's. We have had mold in our homes since we started living in caves. I think you will be fine. MOLD Mantra REMOVE, CLEAN, ENCAPSULATE, REBUILD. Keep on rocking, love the videos!!
