Church family, in today’s update Dr. Ben Lovvorn takes us on a guided tour through the work site.

- In the Historic Sanctuary, the scaffolding and cable system that will secure the external walls is nearly complete.
- In the Criswell Center, we are taking steps to control the climate inside the building and restore power.
- The Horner Family Center is currently being cleaned, restocked, and prepared to host Sunday School for all ages.
- In the Worship Center, we’re testing our systems and equipment, doing some final cleanings, and we’re nearly ready to welcome everyone back for worship this Sunday!

We’re making incredible progress each day to get our campus back to full operation and to get our church family together here soon.

This is an awesome church with love, and a heart for the gospel.

Thank you, Ben. I am so interested in the cause of the fire. As a former member of the fire service, it was pretty enlightening to watch the fire and the smoke as it burned. I know we are in constant, minute by minute battles with the army of Satan. I'm praying and loving all of you and the church. xoxTXDeb

Why does Ben constantly display Freemason hand gestures throughout this and other videos? 0:01

Not to downplay the weight of this tragedy, and I join you in the hope of restoration and continuing the work of ministry.

But it is worth noting that the way the Western world traditionally practices Christianity bears almost no resemblance to the model and personal example of Jesus Christ.

Jesus never ever would have approved of spending millions of dollars building glorious Tabernacles.

Jesus's investment was in changing our mindset from the kingdom of the world to the kingdom of heaven. As such, he had not much use for big giant buildings and so forth.

Were Jesus today walking in earthly ministry, I'm sure he would admire these great facilities.

He would likely fill them to the brink housing the homeless.

No offense intended, wishing you all the best.
