Sincere condolences to all the families that lost beloved people today. Just know that they died bringing joy and happiness to thousands of people across the country. We all loved them and the aircraft they devoted their lives to. Thank you so much.

Reporters are about as dense as people can get. Why do they ask the same question over and over and over and over again? If He can't answer the same question for the previous 5 reporters then He can't answer it for the 6th reporter either.

Tragic beyond words. The P-63 pilot looks to have been following the same lines as the fighters ahead at first but then extended wide. Once extended past and being high of the B-17 and in a left bank a blind spot for the pilot would have resulted. The P-63 is known for blind spots but any low wing aircraft in that position would have created a blind spot for the pilot. Question is why which will be the job of the NTSB. God speed!

Truly made me sick to see this today. The armchair quarterbacks will be all over it. Wait for the NTSB investigation folks. The families have been through enough today. Lets not point fingers until the facts are known. God speed to the crew of both aircraft. Prayers for the families.

Sad loss of a very professional B17 crew and historic plane… they never knew what hit them.

The dangers of flying period planes are exacerbated by the weight of years. The pilots and crews know the score. I appreciate their hard work and dedication . . . and sacrifice.

I hope they were not flying any “tour” groups in that B-17 at the time of this tragedy.
I have seen that particular “red winged” bomber fly low over my house every year before the airshow. Nothing sounds like a B-17 flying low overhead.

the worst part of it all is we'll NEVER know why.
A cobra is so much more manuverable to, even in a bad situation, avoid something like this.
But a crash like this: no survivors...not one voice to tell WHAT went wrong

Very sad. The silver lining. I never knew about the Commemorative Air Force and what they do for (in general) humanity. So the event is sad. But I like what I hear they do and my prayers will be with all those involved for peace and healing.
