In the books i heard, they show before mal, and the others got brought on the aisle something between Mal and ben was going on, like dreaming about each other or something. So truley its bens fault a little for not telling audry about the dreams and leading her on. If he started falling in love with mal before the cookies, he should've broken up with audry or gave her some closer. Even after the cookies wore
should've gone to audry and told her, "Hey, you're great, and i wish the best, but we aren't working, " and maybe it qouldev turned out better. Both Mal and audry had lives out of their control. Audry was told she was going to be queen one day and promised her happy ending. While Mal was told she would rule the world with her mom and promised power. Both of them thought thats what they wanted, but they wanted different things. Mal, audry, and ben should've had a long talk about the whole thing instead of ignoring Audrey.
