Just for anyone who is upset by what they are saying:
I'm also decora, and unfortunately I don't stand by these people making decora seem like it's "above all" or that dressing simpler is a bad thing. This isn't exactly good representation of decora kei because decora is about accepting everyone, even if they dress differently or less eccentrically. So, if you are offended by how they joke about cis people fashion or what their opinions are on fashion trends, just know that most of us do not agree with what they are saying. Additionally, just because you aren't decora or dress like these people do, you have personality.
People express their individual personalities in different ways and in different clothes, it's not exclusive to a particular style of dressing.

For common questions about decora fashion:

Answer:They compensate, fitting the dress code isn't difficult or finding a place to work like Claire's may be more suitable for them.

First one is just their personal opinion, and that's fine. People can like different types of clothes. They weren't saying decora was superior, just that they prefer loud colors.
Second one I disagree with. Not everyone has a super bright, colorful, and bubbly personality.
Last one was clearly a joke, and a pretty common one at that. Alternative fashion is notably more popular amongst queer individuals for a number of reasons, so I understand where they're coming from.

People be overreacting. Chill. Also, remember that we aren't dressing up for anyone but ourselves. I don't wear a bunch of cute rainbow stuff all over myself for other people. I wear it because it makes me feel happy. I honestly could not care less if you don't like it. It's not hurting anyone. It's just clothes.

As a person who’s favorite color is gray, I can’t imagine NOT dressing dull 😭
