My kids were horsing around, and one of them fell on top of the tv remote we always use, and so I had to take the remote from my TV in my room, to use on our main TV in our living room. I didn't have the manual for it, so I was hoping there would be a video on YouTube that showed how to program a GE remote to a Samsung Smart tv. Well, your method worked! Perfect. Thanks!! Couldn't find the little paper it came with. Was about to throw away a whole blu-ray player bc the remote that is assigned to it refuses to work. I used the small blue universal remote for a blue ray player, this works for that, too.

I can confirm this still works. It may take several times for the TV to shutoff. Same thing goes with the volume button. Thank You for this video!!
