The scariest part to me, is that I have on more than one occasion, left my device at home, went to friends places, and when I came back, the next day or so I would get adds that were tailored to what we talked about. I did not even have my device, but they did, and theirs were listening to me and I didn't even need my phone. The technology around us is far more advanced than most are able to comprehend.

I have gotten ads pop up after talking about something, but what really freaked me out was when an ad popped up after I THOUGHT about something. My finances were getting pretty bad and so one day I was so upset I started thinking about selling my blood to a plasma collection site. I never said it out loud because I didn't want anyone to know how bad things were. I swear to you, the next time I went on my phone an ad for the plasma collection center popped up. Never has that ad come up before or since. How? How can they be reading our minds?

Just simply because I feel like we need to do things for ourselves, and teach our kids, because if you don’t teach them how to rely on themselves, they will never know how to.

A couple of months ago, I was talking to my sister over her cell phone...we were talking abaout when we die and I said that I wanted to be cremated...the next day she said that somebody was listening to us, because she got an ad for cremation services on her phone.

I called my kid to ask if he wanted me to bring home Pizza Hut or Dominos? He said "They chose for me" and sent me a screenshot of Dominos advertising a special.
Another weird one was when I was having a hard time coping with a personal issue and felt overwhelmed and exhausted. I was thinking of looking into booking one of those retreat stays?? All of a sudden I'm getting ads for holistic treatment centers, substance abuse treatment centers.. I'm not shocked by anything anymore.

I was finishing up undergrad work for a PoliSci degree when all this hit. None of it's surprising, except that Snowden had the balls to release it... and the quantum computer. But quantum computing and true AI have been in development for years, so it's more surprising that they didn't screw it up, than anything. Crap like this has been going on for decades, including spying on allies. It's basically an unspoken rule that allies monitor each other to make sure nobody is double crossed, (and to possibly catched espionage from without), and the embassies are often at the heart of it all. They make a big stink, publically, then go back to business as usual- typical politicians.

The first inkling I got about this whole thing was when we went to the movies to see “Enemy of the State” with Will Smith. If you haven’t seen it, you should. I left the theater shaken. That’s when my eyes were truly opened! And yes, scary how ads or emails show up after you’ve been talking about a certain subject. More people red to be aware of what’s going on. Oh, and that reminds me, how many people are aware that there’s a secret government that gets money, but is not included in the federal budget? Hmmmm???

Remember having a conversation with coworkers on shift about cars, and someone mentioned Maseratis. Half hour later on break, suddenly that's a brand being advertised to me on YouTube. For the first time. And then never again. It's almost adorable how little they care about hiding it.

I've been saying it for years and I will continue to say it. I hate technology. It's making us more lazy everyday and eventually could eliminate the majority of humanity and run solely on artificial intelligence and the few people who have to handle and program the robot. Obviously I have to have a phone to communicate but I choose the most simple one as with a vehicle, tv, and so on. My life is complicated enough just dealing with morons everyday.

Bro, we were at a car show in the Mountains with ZERO Phone signal.
I purchased WITH CASH some seasoning from a LOCAL VENDOR who had their OWN FAMILY SEASONING mix which had NOT been advertised on television nor sold in major market chains.
I was excited about trying this seasoning and was discussing this AT THE show(having no phone signal up there) with a friend.

When we got back into town that evening and the signal come back in; I logged into my facebook and suddenly this families facebook ad for their seasoning suddenly popped up on my page out of no where !
