I think the best part of this whole bit is that when you load into the mission, Hayden just goes with it instead of trying to stop the Slayer anymore, and even goes "Hey after you shoot it, you can take the BFG from inside it too lol".

He knows better than to actually try and stop the Slayer at this point other than offering little remarks, and that's character development.

I love how most of Doom Eternal is people trying to tell the Slayer what he "can't" do, but he does it anyways.

I love how kiddish the Slayer gets as he mashes the button to fire it, I can only imagine the grin on his face

I always love the little details they give that add to doom slayer’s character. Like how he gets impatient and mashes the button waiting for the ai to stop giving directions. They gave a character with more personality then half the fps shooters out there.

Edit: another thing, I think its funny that they built the casing that holds the bfg to be so strong that if it was ever taken out, the facility automatically knows it was the slayer who took it.

The fact that the facility has a safety protocol for THIS EXACT scenario amazes me
