Top 10 Digimon Who Deserve SECONDARY Digivolution Lines!

Anyway, which Digimon do YOU think deserve secondary evolution lines?

I’ll say it as many times as I need to, I think SnowAgumon should digivolve into an ice-themed dinosaur Digimon all the way to mega (not necessarily a greymon type line, you know, give SnowAgumon something to differentiate itself from the vaccine and virus Agumon variants a bit) as opposed to Yukidarumon and Seadramon.

Burgemon becoming Condiment King as a final evo would be both hilarious and absolutely something I’d want to see.

Shoutmon deserves his own alternate evolution line since mostly Shoutmons power is tied to omnimon and digixros.

You know, honestly, I'd like to see a line more focused on the 'dinosaur' side of Gabumon, or the disguise form. Then a more canine rookie for Garurumon? I just always felt the 'dino in a skin' part of Gabumon just got lost.

As a huge fan of Lunamon and Coronamon, your ideas brought back so many ideas I had as a child from when Dawn and Dusk first came out. I remember, before GraceNovamon was a thing, I tried making concepts for an Eclipsemon that had multiple modes based on the different types of Eclipse, so a Solar Mode and Lunar Mode where the Fusion had more of Dianamon in one mode and Apollomon in the other, along with a 3rd form that is the equal of the two. I was OBSESSED with this concept when I was really young....
though I also had ideas for Swap lines? Where one Digimon get’s aspects of the others, or swaps concepts. If you pay attention, Coronamon’s line is a lot more organic and animalistic until hitting Apollomon, while the Lunamon line gains Knight-like armor early on, so I always liked the idea of them swapping these concepts for alternate lines.


If you couldn’t tell, these are my favorite Digimon. Lunamon being the best.

Weird how frontier spirits get ignored while tamer’s biomerge forms are just normal Digimon with galentmon/Dukemon being a canonical royal knight

Great picks! Wholeheartedly agreed with KoKabuterimon; it just fits the Thunder spirits so, so well that I was shocked and upset when I saw there was no actual connection.

Tapirmon has this whole lore about how it came from medical devices and devours and purifies nightmares, basically filtering out evil, but all of that goes out the window as it's evolutions have it become either mammoths with ice powers and ballistic bones or a temple guard that weaponizes hallucinations only to turn into a ravenous manticore hellhound.

It'd be cool to see it become a baku/oni, playing off how its usually depicted floating bipedally, and actually becoming a benevolent guardian of some kind for once rather than a mindless killing machine.

I think Gazimon deserves a branching evolution. I know it already has the BlackGarurumon and Dobermon lines, but those also have BlackGabumon and Labramon as their respective Rookie forms. Overall I think it’d be really cool to see this Digimon that’s often just used as a generic mook by villains become a prominent partner Digimon and get a dedicated evo line, possibly involving Fangmon.

If that Morphomon line ever does happen, its Mega had better be named “Kojimon, ” or something similar.

And imo, I love Gargomon how he is, I just think the green Rapidmon should be replaced with some kind of Rabbit Tank form, as sort of a Gargomon version of Bolgmon, which would still build off of the bunny w/ guns idea from Gargomon, but also transition far more smoothly into the bunny-Gundam appearance of Megagargomon

I know this doesn't make anything official, but I saw that Beetlemon in the card game has a Kokabuterimon in its artwork. I think whoever is in charge of the card game or at least the artwork also believes that Kokabuterimon should be the natural rookie for Beetlemon

I cant believe I never noticed that what we can see of Kotemon's body looks like a purple Veemon.

Gabumon body under his fur/coat looks more like a dino/reptile then a dog/wolf like Garurumon. Maybe a secondary Digivolution line could focus more on that.
You could also focus more on the part that Gabumon kind of mimics a dog/wolf and make trickster line, like a chameleon. Like a version of Gabumon that had not the friendship of a DigiDestined and needs to hide to survive alone (i know that chameleon dont do that in real life).

I wholeheartedly agree with the triple N.7 spot - all three, Monmon Kotemon and Bearmon just *_EXUDE main protagonist / Digidestined energy_* and could very well get ones

To be honest I’ve always wanted a full evolution line for BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon. You could do so much like an evil red fusion of Agumon and Commandramon that evolves into a giant Megaman Greymon.

Oh, I really like the idea of Morphomon getting a line that is kinda like the legacy of Adventure. I think that'd really sell the digimon for me, it deserves to be something that isn't steeped in pain and sadness.
I mean Meicoomon got something, why not the butterfly? C'mon Bandai lol

What would be cool would be to give Morphomon a digivolution line that uses music either to fight or to avoid fighting. If this happens in Adventure 2020, when Morphomon's champion, ultimate, and mega do attacks, music from the same guy that made the song about butterflies would be played.
