Came back to this trailer after hearing about Henry Cavil's retirement from the role. I just wanna say, when I saw this trailer in the movie theater as a kid, it forever inspired me.

I'm not sure how to explain this better, but every time I watch Man of Steel, it feels like it's speaking to me. To us. It feels more like "here's the best you can be. Here's the best we all can be." The movie is about Superman and yet the movie is about all of us. We all have the potential and capacity to be a force for good. We're all capable of doing incredible things. Every time, after watching this movie, I feel empowered, inspired, motivated.

If anyone is trying to find the music they used in this trailer, it's in the Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack on "The Bridge of Khazad Dum" almost 5 minutes in. It's a beautiful and versatile piece by Howard Shore and they used it brilliantly in this trailer. I'll never forget the first time I saw it. Well done.

I’m 21 years old and those lines in the teaser gave me hope and courage to stand up like everyone else. Before this, I was a nobody, I was struggling with depression and being asocial towards other people. I attempted to end my life many times but hearing those words saved my life and brought the light back into my soul again. To anyone out there around the world who feels rejected, invisible and struggling with their own personal demons, you are not alone.

This movie was ahead of it’s time. Such a masterpiece and my favorite origin story movie out of both DC and Marvel respectively. Henry was ridiculously disrespected out of spite these last few years. I was so excited in October when he announced his return, and now that’s gone too. WB will wind up selling DC because they will not profit from here on out. Henry deserves so much more than what he was given, I’m thankful we got to see a few movies with him as Superman.

You know, I still come back to this trailer years later just because of how inspirational it is. Truly the best teaser trailer I've ever seen for a film due to the lack of content being shown, which is a good thing, but also due to the message being said in the trailer. "You're not just anyone. One day, you're going to have to make a choice. You have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be. Whoever that man is, good character or bad, he's going to change the world." It doesn't just have to apply to just a man, obviously, and it doesn't even have to mean the entire world. What it speaks into is that you, me, anyone, could change another person's world. We all have that ability to do so, and in doing that, that person whose world we've changed could in turn change another person's world, and so on. Change starts with one person, whether it's a good change or not.
