This was a Stephen A., Skip Bayless level of a hot take. Ewers missed a month and once he got settled in him and that offense rolled OU. I’m not saying if Oregon and Texas played right now that Texas couldn’t lose but there’s a reason Will Howard is aptly nicknamed Will “Spill The Pill” Howard, that guy finds ways to lose games and he did so against Oregon this past weekend, bad sack and then killed too much clock and couldn’t call the time out cause of the run he did, Texas hasn’t made any of those mistakes this season.

I believe that the Texas defense would look forward to facing Dillon Gabriel again, if nothing else to prove the point that they will not blow three defensive calls on the games final drive again (like they did during the Red River game last year): they want to redeem themselves and prove the point.

Doing so in a CFB playoff game or a Natty appearance, if either were to come about, would be the icing on such a cake.
