I sang this cover in celebration of Final Fantasy XIV's 10th anniversary!
This song & this game are very special to me, so I hope the love I have put into it reaches you 💕

I started playing this game around 2 years ago, and though it seems brief, I've made so many good memories and friends throughout that journey that I'm immensely grateful for. Although I haven't been playing that much anymore as of late, I will never forget the nights spent in Eorzea after every stream, up until the wee hours of the morning. Now that I've finished all the expansions, I kinda miss the quests, the raids, the roulettes, the dailies, all of it.

"Lands that stretched on forever. Skies one could drown in. The heartbeat of nature, silent yet strong. And amidst it all a people. Beacons of light and life. Laughter that warmed my heart like naught else before. They are my meaning and my purpose. My love."

And don't even get me started on the storyline. The entire story, most especially Heavensward, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker, really resonate with me;; So many unforgettable quotes, so many messages and themes near and dear to my heart. They just really hit home hard. I will always love this game so very much, and it will always have a special place in my heart. I'm ever glad I took the chance to play it when I did. Absolutely no regrets.

"It's the little things in life that make life worth living, don't you think?"

This song in particular, as well as Dragonsong, are my two favorite songs in the game. I almost couldn't record this properly cuz I felt the tears threatening to overwhelm me again lmao. At the end of it all, there will always be hope. What is broken can be fixed. Bonds can be strengthened. What you desire, you can achieve.

I watched this during it's premiere without having any knowledge to FFXIV whatsoever, it made me curious about the game along with other factors at the time. I started my journey to Eorzea at September of 2023. Time has passed and I blocked this cover out of my memory after a few months as I didn't exactly want my experience to be spoiled. It has been a tough journey, be it in Eorzea or avoiding any spoiler at all. Come October of 2024 and I can confidently say I have Walked to the End. Living, Dying and Knowing. Reaching this particular scene I got reminded of Kiichan's cover. Crying yet again but smiling, for that better suits a hero.
