Swingtime Big Band - Ya Gotta Try

New York's Swingtime Big Band performing in July 2017 at Connecticut's renowned Music Mountain Festival for Swingtime's 10th annual concert there, closing the show with Sammy Nestico's swinging barnburner, "Ya Gotta Try." Originally recorded in 1977 by the Count Basie Orchestra, this chart was also a repertoire staple of Buddy Rich and his big band in the late 70s and early 80s. This performance features Ben Rosenblum on piano, Chris Donohue and Bill Kinslow on tenor saxophones, and Rob 'Sticks' Levy on drums!
