I have found out gpedit is not included with win 10 home, only with the pro version of OS

Super, helped me! My windows was limiting my Mb's to 80 from 500 it's stupid.

I think bandwidth limit you need to enter as "100" instead of "0" bcoz windows uses 20% bandwidth as reserve purpose for updating so why its been quoted as "80%" as default value.

I did both steps and my ethernet cable is only running at kbps but as soon as I do a speed test send and recieve both shoot up into the mbs (hundreds) and when the speed test concludes they got back down to 0 kbps any idea how I can fix this?

Give Windows at least 10% of the bandwidth so you can update your system if you set it to 0% it can mess up any future updates and Windows could have problems downloading these updates.
