Why stop at auditing the Fed? Why not end the Fed, especially since it has failed its duel mandate to achieve maximum employment and stable prices?

The audits should have started here, with The Fed, and then gone through the rest of the government. Using CPAs trained in Forensic Audits.

I agree with Jack Nicholson's character in A Few Good Men... "You can't handle the truth"... I'm not sure any of us, or the global financial markets, can handle knowing how much debt (Treasury and CDO's) have been fully monetized by the Fed. Who, other than the Fed, has been able/willing to digest $1Trillion of NEW Treasury debt every 100 days plus the rollovers of existing debt, much with very short maturities???

The Federal Reserve has been regularly audited all along. You can easily find the audit reports online as free public documents.
