If you look at the ballgown in Disney’s live action Cinderella, that gown was layered with different shades of purples and blues (and maybe pinks?) giving it a depth. The above gown was sadly all one shade of yellow. Even if they had stuck to various shades of yellow, it would have looked better. Imagine how lively it would have looked with a creamy satin layer under a rich yellow organza.

I was so underwhelmed when I saw the dress. I didn't expect it to look exactly like in the movie, but it didn't have that wow factor. When I saw it, I thought, 'that's it?'
When I saw the Cinderella dress, it literally took my breath away. I've watched the live action Cinderella a bunch of times. I love that movie.

Repeat it everyone: corsets don't hurt if they are fitted and worn properly! If a producer has more than a million dollars for the movie, they definitely have two hundred for a custom fitted garment.

Honestly I can overlook this because this is one of the few live action remakes that didn't completely change the story and actually came out as a masterpeice

It’s nice they tried to accommodate Emma wants, but in her accepting to become this character that is Belle, she would have had to accept wearing an elaborate dress. Beast told her to wear it anyways, so it would not have fit Belle’s simple style but his, and he was a prince use to having fancy parties wear everyone dressed up to fit the part.

I honestly don't care about costumes, as long as the story is there. But the dress couldn't have more volume or weight because she didn't wear the corset.
Corsets are really essential for hold the weight of the multiple layers without the waist digging into the skin
