I have a 1963 coin in perfect condition and it has a error. On one side of the quarter is wider than the other side. What kind of error is this? Also my quarter weighs 7 grams. It has no mint mark as well.

The 1963 you posted that went for 24K at auction, doesn’t appear to be a very high mint mark (listed as ms68) Are the older coins inspected different?
