Bentley’s iconic W-12 engine is taking its final bow, making way for a more powerful hybrid V-8 in the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur. This luxurious sedan now holds the title of the most powerful model Bentley has ever produced. Under the hood, you will find a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 hybrid engine, delivering a remarkable 771 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. This marks a 19 percent increase in power and an 11 percent boost in torque compared to the outgoing W-12 model. The 2025 Flying Spur accelerates from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 3.3 seconds, making it half a second faster than the previous version.

Accompanying the powerful V-8 engine is a 25.9-kilowatt-hour battery pack that independently generates 187 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. This setup allows the Flying Spur to travel up to 47 miles on electric power alone, with speeds reaching up to 87 miles per hour. Together with the gasoline engine, the total driving range reaches an impressive 515 miles—ideal for long road trips.

Bentley has incorporated four specific driving modes to optimize the use of electrification: Pure Electric Vehicle, Electric Boost, Regenerative Braking, and Charge. In Charge mode, the gasoline engine both powers the wheels and recharges the battery, although owners can also plug into a Level 2 charger to replenish the battery within two hours and 45 minutes.

Bentley’s new Active Chassis system enhances performance and comfort by integrating adaptive suspension, all-wheel steering, and a limited-slip differential. Inside, the Flying Spur features cutting-edge technology, including wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a My Bentley App Studio for third-party apps. The improved soundproofing and audio system upgrades add to the overall refinement of this grand sedan, which is expected to reach dealerships later this year.
