Houseboat Renovations

Hi Captain Doug! wonderful and very informative videos! We are in the processing of buying a 1999 Sumerset which needs updating on the interior. Hi Cpt Doug... Thanks for sharing. My wife and I have an '06 Lakeview 16x70. We are looking to renovate next year. You have obviously painted several interiors. Ours is much the same - white oak original finish. What process and products do you use to paint the interior walls white. We are looking to do the same. Thanks in advance for any advise in getting a quality result.

Captain Doug, did you set out to do houseboat flips or did this just happen by chance in order to get into larger boats? Would you be willing to share how much you spent on each renovation and if you were able to profit from the renovations when you sold?

Captin Doug The videos are very helpful and to the point thank you for the great info. I have a 1996 16x80 Stardust on Lake Eufaula. The green canvas needs replacing. I want to go with black but was worried about it being too hot. I noticed you went with black and it looks great. Does it get uncomfortably hot or is it about the same as any other color? Thanks

Noticed new refrigerators in your remodeled boats were not equipped with in door water/ice dispensers. Is there a reason for the omissions.

Did you paint your exterior stripes? I'm thinking about doing that job soon. Just trying to figure out which paint product I want to use.

We are thinking of buying a houseboat to live on for the next year or two (on Lanier). Can you recommend any contractors for bathroom remodeling and installation? I can handle basic paint and framing but that might be a little out of my comfort zone.
