Remember, at the start of the season, how people said NEB could be the scariest team in the country, if only they could put all their elite pieces together? This match they finally did it.

nebraska serve/receive was just far superior. everything else fell in place for the huskers, what a great win for them and the THREE FRESHMAN; lexi rodriguez, ally batenhorst, and lindsay krause… triple headed monster for the next 3 years.

Can we appreciate how good Lexi Rodriguez is to win Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year behind other amazing liberos like CC McGraw and Lauren Barnes

If Nebraska can play like this in Columbus Ohio I feel like they can win the title! They're definitely peeking at the right time and it showed against a good Texas team! GBR!!!

This Nebraska team is giving me Stanford 2016 team vibes. They’re gonna be dangerous.

Nebraska plays with joy, it’s as simple as that.

Texas seemed to play with a lot of pressure on them…NEB was smiling and having fun the whole match. Tx played tight while NEB swung freely. Crowd was dope! Great games

Torres is way better than Gabrial in my opinion. She came in and texas started to hit a lot better.

Eggleston had SO MANY carries that went uncalled. Glad they finally called her on it.

It’s the absolute contrasting demeanor for me. Nebraska looks like they actually enjoy the sport and appreciate their teammates regardless if they’re winning or losing. While Texas looks condescending when their doing good and absolutely miserable when they’re struggling.

Rewatching this game Nebraska took Washington’s exact formula tweaked it a little and took Texas to the limit! They didn’t fold under pressure like Washington & hit all Texas weak points! They sat & watched that game & planned on what they were going to do! That’s the difference between Coaches! Texas didn’t make the same adjustment as they did with Washington! This is payback I guess from Texas sending them home in the Quarterfinals last year! Good Job ladies on both sides!

Honestly so glad Nebraska won this game. After reading Texas' tweet shading Lexi Sun, it really just rubbed me the wrong way and shows their lack of etiquette and sportsmanship. Clearly, Karma is a B****.

I just want to aknowledge the incredible impact this Nebraska freshman class has in this match. Last year when they met in this exact same scenario, nothing was going Nebraska's way. Their backrow defense wasn't fully there, the front row defense was no where to be found with Stivrins injured, Sun and Kubik's blocking was lacking for most of the time and the offense wasn't raw at all.

Now you have one of the best Nebraska's back row defense since i dont know what year with Rodriguez running it, Knuckles, Akana and Hames there to contribute. Now, you have a completely healthy Stivrins to go from pin to pin to get some block touches. Kubik being the target in the serve receive game and rocking it for the most part of the match. And now add to all of that, the power and fearless of two incredible freshman Ally and Lindsay. And dont get me started with the confidence they have in their serve game.

What a moment for this team to peak for real. Maybe they lose in the semifinals maybe they don't but the experience and the confidence this freshman class is going to get from this tournament, is whats going to make them be VERY dangerous in the next 3 or 4 years.

I love how even though the Texas crowd is booing them, Nebraska continues to play like bosses and ignore them. Go Nebraska 🤗

NEB had a great serving strategy aiming for the seam between 1 and 6. Plus, their freshmen showed up and out this game. Congrats to them!

Texas setter change was their best call; the energy was way better with Saige on the court. Bigger block, better choices in broken plays, and she spread the ball a lot more! I don't mind Jhenna coming back at the end of the set but I think they should've at least started Saige in the 4th to get that energy going again.

Set 3 was what I expected this match to be. High level, back and forth volleyball, it was anybody's game at that pace. I do wish Texas was more gracious in their loss. They didn't wave or show any respect to Nebraska in the end. I understand the rivalry and disappointment but I also believe in sportsmanship and humility especially when the game is over.

Good season Horns and good luck Huskers!
