I have had to re-upload my videos, so sorry if you have seen this before.
This video is a brief discription of what I know about using the trees lean to help it fall in a different direction.
I am not an expert on this subject.

Nicely done! I've been dropping trees for nearly a half century and this is the first time I've seen this technique employed. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I hope that if I watch enough of these videos, it will start to make sense. Darnit.

Thank you for your clear explanation about what you are doing and why you are doing it. Many YouTube movies show the sizwheel but apperently for proffesionals only. But there are many laymen like myself. Being dutch I did not like the part where you cut a dutchman with a chainsaw but I understand this was necessary for educational and entertainment purposes. I hope you continue to produce video’s like this as I think it will improve safety in general. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to make this video! I am not familiar with this cut myself, I have seen it but never tried it. I usually use a double or triple hinge if I am trying to get more holding wood on a leaner. Not sure what all the hate is about. Blessings to you and don't sweat the haters.

Nice video! I could not really see how much it actually swung tho. Would have been great with a more distant view of it. But you work in brambleland so its understanable. I found that if I just put my back cut underneath the hingecut, not by a lot, it also holds and pulls out instead of breaking meaning it too can hold the tree until its in its preferred felling direction. I like the duckman touch tho! I will use that on my next test. Norwegian power line forrest clearing guy here. Just found your channel!

A very nice explanation and demonstration. I heard it said a Sizwell works marginally better with a Humboldt, I`ve tried both but can`t really see any difference.

Tree immediately turns off to the right- sorry, I don’t see that I’d did anything
All the “how to swing a tree” videos- no one shows the view from behind the stump to compare where the tree lands to what the notch/hinge wood intended.

So did that swing to where you wanted it? Was hard to see the swing.

Same thing can be achieved simply by leaving the proper amount of himgwood where its needed and knowing how to properly use a wedge

How far in do u cut into the Dutchman when doing your back cut? Do u cut until u meet the dutchman then continue with the other side?
