My biggest issue with the tech in foxhole is sledges and bayonets not being available from the beginning. If you have the technical and industrial ability to build rifles and trycks, then you definitely have the ability to build sledgehammers and bayonets

I have about 270 hours in Foxhole, so I won’t comment much on tech tree improvements. However, I do have a small suggestion regarding artillery shells.

Currently, when a shell is about to land directly on you, you hear a very short whistle just before impact. I think it would be more interesting if that whistle were longer.
This would make artillery slightly less powerful against infantry, as they’d have more time to react and seek cover. It would also create a more dramatic experience, when you hear the shell coming from a distance and have a tense moment when trying to get into trench or bunker.

But if there's any problem with this idea that I haven’t considered, please let me know!

Sledge Hammers definitely need to be earlier. There also needs to be added and Excavator for larger trenches and add a Cement truck that is a mobile version of the concrete mixer

In fairness to the artillery, infantry standing out in the open when there are perfectly good craters and trenches to be hiding in are basically asking for their fate.

I feel as if it all comes out quite quickly, but then again the average foxhole war only really lasts long enough for nukes to be barely used. And I’ve noticed the wars they’d to get longer now, especially the current one, I’ve just been on a break and it’s still going

Thank for the video! It's an important topic to expose newer players to.
The prototypes can be quite frustrating at times with their inequality. This is a small example, but this war (117) Collie push momentum stopped when our proto was Battle bus vs warden (I believe) half-track. It was 2 days of just not having a real answer. I can't remember what the proto tech before half-track was, but it was two very lopsided ones in a row, I believe.

Also proto kits of things that can't be made feels bad. Like Havok timer proto kits.

I want to see an optional upgrade to the super-heavy tank to make it a land-ship, with increased size, more machine guns, and space for infantry to spawn and deploy to the battlefield.

I think warden tanks are weaker than colonial tanks. To be honest, the upgrades are kinda meh for wardens, while for colonials, it's kinda OP.

I just wish that shovels cost less, maybe just have the starting hammer be more of a generic smaller E-Tool that can’t dig entire bunker or trench complexes but can simply dig a small foxhole, it feels wrong that in a game titled “Foxhole” that to dig one for yourself as a simple infantryman requires risking losing a valuable tool that costs a similar amount to an anti tank rifle to produce

I think that some kind of tree removal technique would be extremely helpful. Something like upgraded building vehicle.

Lets not forget about the special colonial overpop tech that hits when the war starts. 30 days of playing nearly every day, 30 days of being nearly overrun. The fact that Wardens are still holding out is just sheer stubbornness. I will keep scrooping until my sub region inevitably turns green.
