Gosh, it certainly must bring back memories of the terrible time you went through when Griffin was first born & no one would listen when he had those eating issues. I know in the past, he’s also been such an enthusiastic eater, but these choking episodes have obviously frightened him to the point where he’s just not wanting to eat, & that must be awful to witness 😔 I hope these test results come back quickly for you all so you can come up with a suitable treatment plan for Griffin x

I love child life specialists! ( I'm under my Mom's email account) my name is Emelia and I had to stay at CHOP Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for a few days when I had GI ( Gastroenterology issues) and while I was there I got diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and now I'm good and got treatment and go for appointments and IV infusions as part of my treatment and I used to see this lovely child life specialist named Eva and she was sooo incredibly special to me. She left to go to a different hospital within CHOP but I will always remember her and I want to be just like her when I get older.

My daughter has gone to that hospital for tests related to her celiac disease and EOE. She has had trouble swallowing too and had to have biopsies and a scope. The hospital did a really good job making her feel at ease. Wishing you and your family all the best ❤

Me and my twin had eatting issues too due to being premature. I wonder if G Tubes would help him? Me and my twin had G Tubes from babies to toddler to young kids we had it from babies up to the age of 7 years old. I sympathize for Griffin. Keep going Griffin you're so strong! 💪❤️ <3

My brother has EOE, he had similar symptoms to your son, then they took certain foods out of his diet and hes doing way better

I’ve had similar problems, which also comes in waves and had a couple of tests done with nothing abnormal shown. However I’ve found over the years that it worsens when my anxiety is spiked or I’m going through a particularly hard time.

In my case I’ll sort of “forget” how to swallow and I have to wait for my reflexes to kick in before I end up choking. But it also helps to swallow with my eyes closed if that starts to happen. I don’t know why it helps but I’ve seen other posts about it helping them as well. Just figured this might help. Best of luck.

I had a heart transplant at that hospital (well, the old location) 21 years ago! imagine my surprise to see the building where i went for so many follow-up appointments... i think Griffin is in good hands!
