As a young boy I was wild about Batman and Robin! Adam West and Burt Ward were great for children.

Never knew this. I remember this movie. Glad the stunt man was ok.

“And Batman as Adam West” Rick! Love that! Trying to protect Batman’s true identity in your videos! 👍🏻🤣

I had heard of this accident before but never knew the stuntman’s name nor the details of what happened at the hospital. Ricknineg is THE channel for all the details! Thank you for that.

Finally, yes in my option, stunt people are overworked and underpaid for all they contribute to a movie. Not even sure if they receive film credits or if anyone notices their credits if they are acknowledged. Hollywood needs to look out for all its people, (and animals) not just the stars. Great video! 😁

Thanks, Rick. I'm a bit older than you, but I love your channel mostly because I'm happy to see someone your age interested in the classic TV and movie nostalgia and information as I am. Thank you and keep up your great work.

I saw this movie at a children's matinee when it came out. I went with the cub scouts. 😆

Heard about the accident...I've also heard he hit his head on a spike or something at the bottom of the pool

Marilyn Watson...the stunt double for Julie Newmar and who actually played the role on-screen during the Dr Cassandra episodes (and therefore in MY book as the FOURTH actress to play the character in the 60's) passed away a couple of years ago

I haven't since this Batman Movie since the 1970's. They would sometimes play it on television on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

Now That’s Just Sad to Hear what happened to The Stunt Actor. I Absolutely Love This Film. You don’t need to take anything serious and just watch it and Have Fun.

I do remember this movie but I did not know of the accident with the stuntman. But what I do remember most is my disappointment that Julie Newmar was not Catwoman.

Just proves that even now being a stunt person is a very dangerous job nothing changes

This movie was a classic. Whenever it was on while I was growing up, I'd stop everything to watch it. My question is; what character was Ace dressed as? Was he doing Batman, Robin, bad guy or henchman?

I was a preteen when the show and movie came out.. Absolutely loved both! I, as an adult, HAVE a DVD of The Batman Movie now! I also saw it in the Rialto Theater in South Pasadena, CA when it was released. Paid 25 cents to see the movie, and another 35 cents for popcorn and a coke!

Kudos to stunt people -- such a dangerous job. They need better protection.

I just watched the movie this past week for the umpteenth time 😅 I read somewhere that there was an accident, but I didn't know it was a on top of the Sub. I learn so much from you Rick on classic TV, thank you!!! 😊

Stunt people are well-trained professionals, and most actors deeply respect their stunt doubles. This included Adam West who had a high regard for his Batman stunt double, Hubie Kerns.

I remember hearing about the accident and I’m glad he was alright in the end as that could have ended terribly. The film itself is great and a lot of fun, just like the Batman show. I’m glad you talked about the Adam West Batman film Rick, I hope you’re doing well. Please keep up the great work and have a great day and a great weekend. Take care!

From What I remember, the movie came out in the middle of the series.the series had already been on for 1 or 2 seasons, then they showed the movie. They both started in 1966,
