The BIGGEST Problem With 4 Star Characters In Genshin Impact

It has been getting more difficult to get the 4 star characters that you want in Genshin Impact. It isn't even always a matter of getting them while they are on the banner but just getting them to be on a banner that you want to wish on.

You’re not guaranteed a 4 star character every 10 pulls. Most of the time, it’s 4 star weapons.

The real f2p friendly team is - One copy of 5* limited. Relatively easy to get from exploration. 4* supports who are fine at c0. And entire team on free 3* and 4* weapons. Not so dependant on strong artifacts.

I think they need to add the newer four stars to the shop, but make it where theres three or four of them in shop at a time in order to have more come around more often. I also think it would be intresting if they added a fate fortold thing on the character banner. You select the rate up four star you want, and after three four stars you get them guaranteed. I know genshin probably isn't going to add this, but it would be a cool feature.

The biggest issue I noticed are the dedicated buffers for 5-star units: Gorou, Sara, and Faruzan. Units like Xiao and Noelle heavily benefit from having high-constellation Faruzan and Gorou (respectively), but the worst part is that the units they're tied to are units that conflict with their roles (Wanderer and Itto) and the only real hope for one is to hope Faruzan/Gorou runs with a 5-star they like more

Ironically there is also the fact that 4 stars, the group that is supposed to be the f2p group, is smaller than the 5 star group

The 4-star 50/50 already technically exists on the current banner system. For example, if you pull on lyney’s banner but you get Xingqiu instead of Lynette, Bennett, or Barbara. On the next ten pull, your 4 star is guaranteed to be one of the featured ones.

Yup, as someone who started out a few months ago I 100% agree. It took me so long to be able to put together any sort of team that worked well together and that had characters I liked. Free Xiangling was god sent for me. They also added so many bad 4 stars as well so those rare blue fates you get are often disappointing. I really wish that they didn't add new characters just for the sake of it if they are just easily outclassed by 5 stars or other characters. Like Lynette, for example, she is just a worse Sucrose no matter how you slice it. And because they added so many characters it takes forever to for them to rotate on the banners. I'm still waiting for a chance to get a Sucrose or Kuki. But it's the same for 5 stars though, if someone started playing now and wanted Kazuha tough luck buddy, maybe some time next year.

i started genshin around version 1.5 (april 2021) and got xingqiu on my first ten pull with noelle on the starter banner. i could never imagine playing genshin without him. even though nowadays i use yelan more, xingqiu definitely carried me for a lot of time i’ve spent on genshin. i hope any players who don’t have him yet will get him asap lol

I only started the game two months ago and had these exact same struggles. One my of my favourite characters is Bennet and I was only able to get him this week and i did wish on Yelan's banner just to get Bennet. Luckily I did get C4 Bennet and a Yelan.
On the other hand I still have no Xingqiu and am eagerly awaiting getting him in the Paimon shop in September.

Their is also a problem that a lot of the early 4* units are the ones new players need but the game focuses on the new ones and since those new ones are much more niche usually supporting a specific character or playstyle compared to the early ones that new player is lacking in general play characters that just make the game work

I got my first copy of Waterboy after playing on and off for two years since launch. I missed the free copy and never saw him on a banner with the five star i was aiming for.

Yeah this is a big issue that needs to be fixed, here's my humble suggestion: Maybe they can make old 4 stars available in the shop or something, maybe we could buy them with starglitter. If only we had that possibility...

Here's an idea for the next video: talk about how hard it is to level up multiple weapons since we only get a limited amount of crystals through events, and that Mihoyo should address this asap

As someone who started in 3.6 phase 2, i agree. I was lucky though so at least i have bennett and xq. However i still don't have fischl since it literally was rerun in the banner when i started the game and back then i didnt understand the game at all so now i have to wait forever just to get a c0 fischl which is quite bad because it makes you basically unable to play aggravate. I also dont have sucrose but luckily i got kazuha in 3.7 but yeah they really need to fix this

It’s safe to say that within the first week of playing, everybody has these characters. And you can make every type of team since you have every element.

And of course, every standard banner character. Such as Fischl, Chongyun, etc. However you have no guarantee of the one you want.

I thought you were going to talk about the current trend with 4 stars where they need cons to be decent in a team... I think that's a bigger issue

I think you should be able to pick at least two 4 stars you want a higher chance of getting on the standard banner. Acquaint fates are so much easier to get than intertwined ones so it’s also a good option for f2p players.

Technically you can free to play buy the 4 stars. When you roll foe banners you get two types of items from each roll. Got to the shop where you can buy wishes you can buy other stuff with stardust. But Technically to get the most out of the shop you should go for characters or wishes. The rest can be get from monsters or domains

I spent 160 wishes on last Scara banner for one Scara and I also wanted some Faruzan cons. I got Scara after 120 wishes and after 150 wishes I got my first Faruzan copy as well. Then at 160 I got a c173748288 Rosaria again, so I stopped myself from making a mistake.

this is probably not because of new 4 stars and because i'm just really unlucky,
I HAVE BEEN PLAYING SENCE 2.3, BACK WHEN ITTO CAME OUT, AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE XINGQIU WHY
