Why I actually have to charge my prosthetic

My doctor told me if you have to lose your leg, better to do it while it's below the knee than wait till it's above the knee. She wasn't just saying that out of the blue. I'm a below knee amputee. They have to measure how much they can save below. You need a certain length in order for a prosthetic to work properly below the knee. If it's too short, there's not enough of leg to grip and attach the prosthetix

One of my cousins lost both legs in the Afghanistan war. He stepped on an IED while trying to get a friend to safety after getting shot. His right leg was amputated below the knee and his left was amputated above the knee. He's a really great guy and always fun to hang out with, especially when he scares kids by turning his leg upside down.
