Fronius Rapid Shutdown Box for Solar Grid-Tie Inverters

preview_player
Показать описание
Look inside Fronius' Rapid Shut Down Box to learn how to comply with NEC 2014 & 2017 Rapid Shut Down requirement with the Fronius Primo, Galvo, and Symo grid-tie string inverters. The inverter and box communicate through a signal wire, and when the grid power goes out your solar array will immediately shut down between the box an the inverter. This provides code compliant safety for firefighters on the scene.

Does the next generation of these have a DC isolator switch? I can't seem to tell from photos, but I'm not seeing one anywhere.

Do you need a rapid shut down for 8 300 w panels with 4 panels in parallel and the other 4 panels in parallel then connected in series on a low roof with the discount mounted on the wall 3 feet a way from the panels

To which connector exactly, inside the Primo inverter, should the rapid shut down box signal wires be landed: the two conductor orange or the three conductor NO/NC orange connector?

Does this work with the SolArk inverter?

why cant i just install a 120v contactor in the combiner box and if power goes out the contactor will disconnect the array from exiting that combiner box. why spend the ridiculous high price on these combiner boxes?
