What a wonderful video. This car looks perfect for my mid-20s daughter who works and goes to school. (Full disclosure: I’m a Buick man who prefers the Buick’s heft but I appreciate the Toyota’s reliability.)

I just finished up a 5 year lease on a 2020 Corolla SE (got it in 2019.). Leasing the 2024 Corolla LE and I have to say that i'm regretting the choice. I can really tell how much Toyota cheaped out on the 2023 and 2024 LE's as compared to the 2020-2022 variants. It feels like they spent more on the entertainment system than the car. Everything is dull matte black plastic, the tachometer looks 20 years out of date, and the seats are super uncomfortable on longer rides as compared to the 2020 SE. Of course, because it is an LE, the ride is much louder, and the car sways a lot due to the rear suspension. I also hear the doors, dash, and seats creak when I turn the car or go over bumps, which my 2020 SE and 2014 LE Corollas never did. On top of all this, the finance department kept trying to push me to spend $80 extra a month to guarantee the touchscreen failing (which apparently costs $4, 000). Never had that issue or sales pressure on my 2014 LE or 2020 SE.

In my opinion, I would pay a little extra and go with an SE. It's a lot more comfortable, handles the road better, has quicker reactions, and feels much safer. In the end though, if you are going from point A to point B, the car gets the job done and is great on gas, but my wife and I both agree that Toyota really cheaped out on this model and we should have gone for the SE.

Great review Anthony. For basic transportation or for someone who is looking for few frills this would be good. It made me think though if that's what I was looking for maybe a Versa would make more sense since it's so cheap. One thing for sure is the Corolla will run forever lol! I do enjoy videos of more basic cars like this since some lux cars did not have some of the features of these. Only made up to 75 here which was so great. I actually got to do some light yardwork and soak up some vitamin D. I hope that you had some cooler weather on your side. I agree about Ikea..having lefteover parts is never any fun lol 😁Have a good one Anthony and happy Monday

If I was looking at a car this size and price range the Mazda 3 is better in many ways. Not a fan of CVT transmissions. It is to bad Toyota dumped the Scion TC.

The one big problem ?
A CVT !
The Camry and RAV4 have the traditional transmission, why not the Corolla.
Mazda 3 sedan all the way .
