When Among Crows was so genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. Oh my gosh. I get so excited when people have it on their recommended list!

The Name Bearer changed my brain chemistry. I’m counting down the days for the third book

This is why I make sure my reading goal is a comfortable 24 books a year so I feel that sweet, sweet sense of achievement when I hit it half way through the year and get at least 200% by the end of the year. Or if I don't then at least I ready at least 2 books a month!

The way I obediently drank some of my water when you told me to hydrate. 😂
I love novellas and short reads so freaking much because I'm a binge reader and I can't stay up until 7 am reading. The Murderbot Diaries remain my favorite novellas but since those aren't fantasy, I also LOVE the Chronicles of Nerezia series of novellas, so cozy yet exciting and delightful. Also anything by Azalea Crowley - I think most of their books are just over 300 pages but it's cozy horror romance and I LOVE them.

I just finished a libby copy of godkiller a couple weeks ago and now I'm obsessed and THEN I FOUND A BEAUTIFUL SPRAYED EDGES GOLD LEAF SIGNED HARDCOVER AT THE LOCAL USED BOOK meant to be. Elogast is my new book husband. I started Sunbringer and I'm like two chapters in and already I can tell the writing has leveled up

As someone who regularly read 800-1000 page books before I had kids, I've always wanted Goodreads to give us an option to set a page goal for the year instead of a book goal. I don't know how many times reading a really thick book put me behind my reading goal; so, I ended up reading several short books, that I didn't really want to read, just to catch up. It's annoying.

comment part two SITS BOLT UPRIGHT When Among Crows is based in Chicago? brb buying the ebook right tf now.

Also I only learned this very recently from my PR friend but "latinx" is actually meant to be pronounced like "latine" since it developed from indigenous mexican where x sounds like "he".

I enjoyed Godkiller a lot, but honestly had to do a double take when I saw Lady Macbeth - it was the single most disappointing read for me this yer and all the wonderful qualities you listed for the original character were hones missing in Ava Reid’s version.

Don't be turned off by big books!! Stories that are longer aren't necessarily more dull. I mean, hell, I've found myself speeding through Sanderson books, despite their immense length, and I read at an average pace!
