The Yishun one is hand-made. I have seen the boss making noodles during the lull period between 3-5pm

A Serangoon resident here, and having eaten Chan's wanton mee many times, i can say that their standards could be inconsistent sometimes and is very dependable on the crowd. During peak period, there's a 30-50% chance of at least a single element of the wanton mee getting messed up, whether isit noodles being cooked too long, not enough sauce, chili ratio too less. But still, for the price of $3.50 if u jus get normal plate of wanton mee is a steal in this day n age and i wont complain. Just don't expect a hit everytime u eat it haha

I have seen all 4 episodes and enjoyed the honest and well thought reviews… Apparently if you are still looking for decent size wantans and other than the 90s soup… look no further than Huay Kwang Thai Wanton Mee at 3021 Ubi Ave 2, great QQ lightly sauced noodles, fragrant tasty pork lard, decent charred char siew with nice ratio of fat to meat.. Every component is well thought out that complements each other to warrant an awesome dish 😊

Bro i frequent the one mouth noodles stall a lot and im really surprised how you caught all the fine details of it, they have a great handmade noodles char siew and wantons, but the basin really does have a lot of starch, was hoping you did catch it. And also sometimes these days, there is too much oil and chilli in the bowl, as well as the char siew pieces just being entire pieces of fat.

Keep up the good work Alderic!

Nothing beats the Wanton Mee i have in Malaysia. Singapore doesn't even come close. Maybe i'm use to eating it with savoury dark soy sauce since childhood and I get extremely particular when my Wanton Mee tastes sweet

Wen Kang Ji is available in a number of food courts, feels franchised.

BTW, a dish that is top 5 in a food court, in my list would be Rojak in Toa Payoh HDB hub food court at B1. Have a try and give us your judgement.

I love wantan mee. My favourite combo meal is that, hokkien mee and Cantonese Kuey Teow together
