THE 19-MINUTE FREEFALL: Air Transat 236

On August 24, 2001, Air Transat Flight 236 had a major emergency following the failure of both engines whilst on the Atlantic Crossing between Canada and Portugal. The Loss of the engines caused them to be too far to reach Lisbon, and they had to land at an airport 100kms away. Would the Captain be able to glide the massive Airbus A330 to Lajes Airport? Here's the story of the Atlantic Glider.

Other channels did not mention the role of the trim tank in this incident, nor did they give details on the replacement engine, nor did they mention the fine that Air Transat was slapped with for their negligence. This video has provided more information in 18 minutes that others couldn’t in even double the time.
