I’m not surprised, what an enormously stressful job and all is done with a smile on their face, god bless them all

In a perfect world, nurses should have one of the highest salaries in the country. They do such an enormous service to people on the expense of their mental and physical health (long hours, stressful situations, etc..). I just admire them so much💕

21 years as a nurse, 3 countries, 7 specialties. Mad love for the new RN's, nurses in general and anyone in a nursing support role. We're all ok, and we all rock.

We should all really appreciate nurses more! I’m really grateful to all the nurses that take care of me every time I go to raffles hospital. I get sick super often, and I’m kinda a usual. They all recognise me and I’m good friends with the nurses :)

My mom's a nurse and she's addicted to diet coke, so this was spot on 😛

True that! 😂 This is my third year as an ER nurse and I have to meditate/pray every day! I started having intrusive thoughts about hanging in my living room or rotting, or terrible things patients and family members had said to me or called me would pop into my mind. I had sleep paralysis and lucid dreams every night- the worst being one where a patient started stabbing me by the trauma bay 😬 I woke up screaming and crying as though it was real and I thought it was bad omen for a long time. I'd also dry heave or throw up at random times at work and on my off days. Leaving an HCA facility for a non-profit hospital and mindful meditation has been a huge help! If you're a new nurse, please make your mental health and well being a number one priority. Don't pick up extra shifts, eat and drink water during your shift, avoid junk food, and DO NOT allow patients or visitors to verbally or physically assault you. You offer a professional service like any other worker, you're not a human punching bag.

I’ve been nursing for 27 years, first day make up was just that first day, not worth the effort, now coffee there’s always time with no effort 😁. I’m very proud to be a nurse❤️

Nurses are soooo over worked and under paid (in the UK). They're absolutely incredible. And their hours and the length of their shifts are nuts!

* to any nurses, doctors or those in the medical field from all parts of the world... THANK YOU! For EVERYTHING you do, but especially for everything you've done during covid. You're all AMAZING!! ♥

2 years later and I still put on make up before work. And yes even if I'm gonna put on PPE and no one's gonna see my face. I do it because I need a "me time" before going on long shifts, and that I feel better when I look good, and I wanna start my day feeling positive.

I am in no way not even near close to being a medical professional but somehow this feels like it's true.

Truth. 7.5 yrs for me working in a hospital and 2 of them covid. Some days I 😢 cry, sometimes I want to walk out and others I am beyond blessed and thankful getting to serve and help others. Especially those family members of lost loved ones. Sending Gratitude to all the health care and front line workers. 🙏

I’ve worked retail my whole life, and dealing with customers can be very trying. I have so many stories already. Now I imagine nurse is probably 10x more trying then that. Thank all of you who show up to work and make the best out of every day for your patients.

Nursing used to be my goal until I started working in nursing and realizing it does not pay to be that stressed out. Dental is where it's at!❤
